Job Description

We are seeking a Salesforce Developer who is passionate about user experience and design, with a focus on creating intuitive and impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from key stakeholders. This role involves leveraging both declarative and custom development tools to streamline and automate business processes in a dynamic, multi-project environment. The candidate should excel in identifying IT process challenges and developing strategic solutions and enhancements that meet business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and Development: Create scalable, user-friendly, and maintainable solutions on the Salesforce platform, ensuring a seamless experience for end-users.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, develop, and analyze business requirements. Document and review Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications for approval.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct workflow, gap, and impact analysis to identify areas for optimization. Develop user stories, test cases, and functional designs across all phases of the SDLC.
  • Release Management: Oversee the deployment of updates and new features from the development sandbox to production environments, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • User Support and Training: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, maintaining up-to-date documentation and resources.
  • Innovative Problem Solving: Embrace a 'test and learn' approach, taking intelligent risks to develop and implement solutions that address business challenges.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high code quality with comprehensive unit testing, automation, and efficient use of resources.
  • Issue Resolution: Take ownership of issues identified by quality assurance or product support teams, researching and implementing effective solutions.
  • Documentation and Analysis: Create detailed workflow diagrams, document system functionality, and perform gap analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Effective Communication: Use presentations, proposals, and status reports to deliver clear and concise updates to stakeholders. Lead project status meetings and escalate risks or delays as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • Degree can be in Computer Information Systems or IT related fields.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 3-4+ years' experience in salesforce.com development, production, and customization.
  • 3+ years of the following: Designing, developing, implementing, administering and integrating Salesforce.com CRM systems in both classic and lightning framework
  • Ability to write custom code for Salesforce UI and designing web-based systems and service-based architecture using multiple tools, including Apex, Visualforce, Force.com, JSP, XML, JSON, WEB SERVICES, (WSDL/SOAP/REST).
  • Utilizing REST and SOAP API's to perform data integration between mainframe and salesforce; Implementing customized Apex Sharing models using batch jobs and setting access and visibility rights;
  • A thorough understand of all declarative tools found in Salesforce. These include; process builders, workflow rules and alerts, approval automation, formula fields, and the sharing model.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to use testing and query tools such as Salesforce Data loader, Workbench, Developer Console, and Visual Studio Code.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills and strong leadership skills. Must have experience working simultaneously with multiple stakeholders, sponsors, and business partners, exhibiting an ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Self-starter attitude, with an ability to remain focused in a dynamic environment while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and focus on the customer.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to form relationships both externally and internally
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • A basic understanding of relational database structure and operation
  • Ability to travel.
