Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist. This role is based in Davenport, IA.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
Serve as a key point of contact for employees to connect with the human resources department, while promoting Eaton values and providing courteous and timely service to all employees
Support hourly talent acquisition and management activities, including building and maintaining a successful candidate pipeline, diversity and veteran outreach, and serving as a liaison with relevant hiring managers. Help build Eaton Davenport brand internally and externally through updates on internal Eaton communication portals and other social media.
Strengthen employee retention and engagement through establishing and coordinating the standard onboarding and orientation processes with integrated efforts from various functions
Serve as local subject matter expert for employee benefits and payroll questions, coordinating with remote centralized HR service center and payroll teams as necessary, and coordinate benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and processes
Support efforts to maintain positive employee relations and plant culture through knowledge of policies and procedures and responses to employee concerns/needs.
Generate and analyze regular and ad-hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting, and auditing purposes
Facilitate and participate in engagement committees in support of the overall Eaton goals, such as employee engagement, community involvement, and inclusion & diversity initiatives
Partner with HR Services to complete employment record and compensation updates and audits
Administrate the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations
Prepare and distribute HR related communications
Participate and support in annual HR EBS Pull projects as assigned
Support other administrative HR duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 1 year of experience in a progressive HR environment supporting global functions and/or manufacturing operations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 70- mile radius of Davenport, IA will be considered. Active-duty military members are exempt from this geographical limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of increasing HR responsibility
Previous experience working in a manufacturing & union environment
PHR certification
General knowledge of employment laws (such as the ADA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA) and ability to apply legal concepts to real world.
