The Senior Specialist, Events Management is responsible for providing consultation on the development, communication and implementation of corporate events and conferences that support the business strategy to grow revenue, market share and client satisfaction.
The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to contribute to the design and management of events, including research and making recommendations, contract negotiation, budgeting, financial reconciliation, and conference management.
Applies a comprehensive, conceptual and practical understanding of the organization and delivery of events and conferences to a wide range of business and technical situations.
Solves business, operational, and technical problems within the scope of their job, and forms improvement recommendations to ensure CIBC corporate events meet all business unit and senior management objectives.
Knowledge And Skills - Preferred Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5-10 years of related experience
- Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
- Solid relationship management and networking

- Tech savvy – knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of
$72,000-$90,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
