Would you like to help seniors remain in the homes they love? Senior Community Services is hiring compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy people to provide snow removal help for adults age 60 and older.
Snow removal is important for seniors’ physical safety and security. Regular visits from workers can also improve their emotional well-being.
DUTIES:
• Remove snow within 24 hours of snowfall ending
• Salting/clearing ice as needed to support safety
BENEFITS:
• Earn $20 per hour
• Build your own schedule
• We’ll help you get started with participants
• You set your hours with them dependent on snowfall
REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 16 years old
• Must be physically able to do the work (lift 20+ pounds, bend, stretch, etc.)
• In most cases, supply and transport your own shovel and/or snow blower
• Have reliable personal transportation
• Able to consent to and pass a criminal background check
• Able to complete required paperwork for time tracking and work completed
• Able to effectively communicate with participants and SCS staff in person or by phone
• Able to effectively communicate via email
• Able to commit to the entire season, weather dependent
