Overview:

The Loss Prevention Manager at W Chicago - City Center is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, associates, and assets of the hotel. This role requires strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to foster a safe and welcoming environment that aligns with the W brand's bold, vibrant, and customer-centric ethos.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety and Security Operations:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Conduct regular property inspections to identify risks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
    • Oversee security operations, including monitoring surveillance systems, investigating incidents, and managing access controls.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and manage the Loss Prevention team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
    • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on safety protocols, emergency response, and guest security awareness.
  3. Emergency Response Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for emergencies, coordinating responses to incidents such as fire, theft, medical emergencies, or other safety concerns.
    • Develop and regularly update emergency response plans, ensuring staff are equipped to handle various scenarios.
  4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop action plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Guest and Associate Engagement:

    • Promote a secure environment by engaging with guests and associates to address concerns and provide information about safety measures.
    • Handle guest incidents with professionalism, ensuring resolutions align with the W brand's commitment to exceptional service.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of incidents, investigations, and safety inspections.
    • Prepare and present security reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in loss prevention or security management, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, emergency response protocols, and security technology.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $62,000.00/Yr. - $72,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
