Job Description

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a music aficionado Program Manager for our metadata digital supply chain to help build a scalable QA model to support our growing customer and catalog needs. A key part of this role would be scaling and automation of key metadata attributes helping define how we evaluate, measure, and improve our metadata quality (i.e. Browse, Alexa intents, Autoplay, Playlists, Stations, Augmented Shuffle, Lyrics, X-Ray, Tagging, etc). This role would be the subject matter expert in various metadata attributes and would also be responsible for operational planning, where the individual will dive deep into process and ops requirements across Amazon Music teams on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. The Program Manager will then work with various operations teams to work on delivering against the operational forecast.

Key job responsibilities
• Establish goals, plans and related metrics, track progress, create SOPs, and operate through obstacles to achieve metadata program objectives.
• Identify and report on critical metrics to illustrate success against goals and team activities. Report progress to management on weekly/monthly basis.
• Act as a subject matter expert across various catalog metadata attributes (ie: Tags, Genres, Artist data points, etc.)
• Identify and analyze data to isolate issues, develop solutions, and prioritize opportunities for scaling and automation to eliminate excess process.
• Work cross functionally with the product management, engineering, frontend client teams, operations and program teams to document and define initiatives and drive them through execution.
• Act as a thought leader in defining success criteria and understand business needs of partner teams in an ever-changing business environment.
• Prepare roadmaps, and program updates to senior management for the organization.
• Make recommendations that balance short team needs against the long-term business benefit.
