Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Key job responsibilities
- Assemble with emphasis to detail mechanical/electrical of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration of final vehicle assembly fabricating and/or processing materials into complex manufactured products in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment
- Build solar modules and solar arrays
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Identify equipment requirements process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc)
- Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
- Shift will vary, depending on program needs
- Flexible working/commuting in between site locations
Additional Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted
- Able to work either 1st or 2nd shifts - hours are 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Monday-Friday.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. The MFG Assembly Technician II will operate standardized processes, driving workmanship quality into every activity they perform. Their work will continue on and be launched into space to provide internet access to unserved and underserved people around the world. We are a group of Technicians with well over 20 years of diverse skills and experience. Each team member brings in willingness to train and positive team energy. Some tasks you may be an individual contributor, but may also work in a group environment to achieve organizational goals. This group of Technicians thrived in success by working as a team. We are currently in research and development but moving towards production environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of hands-on work experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing production / assembly
- 1+ years of hands on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters)
