Under the direction of the Access Services Supervisor, provides support for the library by performing Circulation functions, maintains Circulation information and assists other departments as needed. Supports faculty and students in obtaining needed materials through interlibrary loan and document delivery services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good basic mathematic abilities to calculate fines and fees for library customers and for other areas of the job as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate ideas and problems effectively. Strong problem-solving skills to prevent and correct mistakes and create alternative ways to complete a task successfully. Good listening skills to understand internal and external customer requests and issues, be able to address or refer to the appropriate person or department. Ability to provide basic research skills in locating library resources to answer customer questions. Understanding of
