Position Summary:

FlyUSA is seeking a Flight Operations Specialist who can support our flight operations team in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This role is integral to ensuring seamless flight operations, focusing on scheduling, dispatching, and managing flight activities in compliance with Part 135 regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to superior customer service.

Location:  Being located in the Tampa Bay area is highly preferred. However, there is potential for this role to be remote. 


Core Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & Dispatching: Schedule and dispatch flight crews, ensuring optimal efficiency and full regulatory compliance with Part 135 requirements.
  • Flight Planning & Monitoring: Utilize JetInsight, APG, and ForeFlight dispatch tools to plan and monitor flights in real-time.
  • Communication & Coordination: Communicate effectively with flight crews, clients, and internal teams to ensure all operations run smoothly.
  • Operational Decision Making: Proactively make decisions to address any operational challenges and ensure safety and efficiency.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in flight operations within a Part 135 environment.
  • Proficiency: Experience with JetInsight, APG, and ForeFlight dispatch tools.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Decision-Making: Excellent ability to make proactive decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • License: A valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Work Eligibility: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Travel Documents: Current passport.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Aviation Degree or Pilot experience.
  • Scheduling Experience: Experience with flight crew scheduling, trip scheduling, and flight dispatching.
  • Additional Tools: Familiarity with other aviation operational tools and systems.
  • Valid Aircraft Dispatcher Certification
