Event Planner

Elite Technical is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week for now, will increase over the course of 2025) Event Planner to coordinate events that provides education and information for representatives that promote Health Plan insurance products and plans. In conjunction with the marketing team, the selected candidate will be planning and coordinating all event details, logistics, AV/Digital details, working with venues, working with other entities/vendors such as host restaurants/venues for special dinners/receptions in order to ensure a successful educational event. Post-event responsibilities will be to ensure that post-event logistics are completed (ie: packup, removal of equipment/supplies from venue, shipping back to corporate office, etc..)

Required Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, or related experience is preferred
- Minimum 4 years professional meeting and event planning experience in corporate environment
- Flexibility to work 20 hours per week schedule is required. (to include evenings and weekends, as needed) Weekly hours expected to increase as the contract continues. Must be able to travel for several days/nights to a national site in October 2025.
- Able to establish relationships within a matrix organization; work with various levels of organization, including leadership and marketing teams.
-Must have a background in coordinating events with several vendors, at once, providing different event services (IE: logistics, AV/Digital, host restaurants, venues for special dinners/receptions, etc...)
- Basic understanding of Meeting and Event Budgeting (Plan & Maintain Budgets)
- Stickler sustaining events on-time and on-budget
- Should have knowledge of Event Planning SW Tools such as Cvent Online Event Management & CrowdCompass by Cvent mobile event apps
- CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) = Big Plus
-Healthcare Insurance Industry Experience = Big Plus
